So what did you get for Christmas/Holidays for Tribe racing?

The wife and I didn't get each other anything since we have been breaking the bank on this stuff all year but our 2 new ACR PLB's (already registered!) came Christmas eve! And our GOPRO3 was picked up while shopping last week. So what did you get? Anybody answers a new Weta Tri and I will cry!

A Davis Spar Fly wind indicator, an Elvstrom bailer, 20' of 3/32" 7x19 wire, a bunch of nicopress sleeves, some thimbles, a nicopress tool (the cheap style), AND ABOUT 8 FINGER PUNCTURES FROM WIRE ENDS (adding a luff wire to my job...)

I was given a spot & tracking, a goretex drysuit, an inflatble lifejacket with a sailing harness built in, and a nexus 7. Amazing year. Need to choose some navigation software for the nexus now.

The SmartTrack toe steering system with trim tab control. It is installed and I will still use my Triak's stock rudder. I hope to try it out tomorrow.

That looks like a ton of fun. Around here we have drift trikes. Basically adult sized big wheels with slippery rear wheels. There is club that rides them down the local ski resort in the summer. 4 miles of steep paved road.

You are not fooling me Kristen. I think this is a new set up for a tamdem portage on the UFC.

Where do they sell that fire kit Meatloaf? Sounds like it should work. Sharp mind Sailbird mike!

Oh yea, what I got, a whole lot of big eyes and smiles from kids and grandkids and a pile of tore up wrapping paper, heck even the old woman liked her present. Ani't it awesome!

I got a new COLEMAN tent, and already tried it out last week.. More of a warm weather down souh tent, but is worked in the rain and cold.

Mike I have a bunch of great apps for the Nexus 7 and my waterproof/milspec Casio Commando Droid phone from Verizon. The Casio is a year behind on hardware, but Verizon just did a massive software update, which fixed problems like battery life.
- Marinetraffic (great for seeing where the ferries are before cutting across the path), my kids enjoy this one for seeing what fishing boat is driving by or big yacht. It also includes photos, and vessel details.
- marine weather by bluefin
- marine navigator lite, it does a decent job for what it does, and the charts work GREAT. It tells you what charts you have uploaded on phone/nexus 7 that cover your current GPS location.
- saildroid (good basic navigation / speed program).
- rules of the road (flash cards)
I have tried some other apps, but deleted them.

For my Christmas, I designed and fabricated an industrial-grade tree stand. My wife found a big tree for a bargain at Publix the night before I had to drive to Atlanta at 3am. Thus, no sleep driving to Atlanta.

Funny story...the 11 foot tree fell over while I was traveling and the family (wife, 6 yr old and 8 yr old) muscled this outside which I could barely move by myself.

After breaking two stands, several toppling tree events, and me biting my tongue from saying "I told you so," we now have an amazing stand.

The cost of fabrication eliminated the funds to buy the Viviane if Chief still had it.

But we have priceless stories of the falling tree, and an heirloom of a Christmas tree stand!

DragonSlayer... Looks like we have the same phone AND we'll have the same tablet when mine shows up! I'll let you know when I get the tablet, and we'll compare notes.

What do you think of the Commando? I like it for the most part, but it's awfully hard to read in sunlight!
