I'm watching four or five times a day wishing I was there but realizing we made the right decision. I'm hoping they all get to Cedar Key within a few days of each other and I'll probably check along the rivers. Fun to watch!

Hi Folks, this is Archangel from the Pacific NW! Been glued to it from the start, wishing I was there with you all. I now have 3 little boys, so it makes it a little bit harder...My dad Reinhard was down there from Maine camping through the Everglades from Flamingo in a rented Kruger boat last week. He echoed how windy it was and was happy he had a Kruger not an aluminum rental.
Been sailing a lot on my 23' Tri called Osprey, but it's too big to use in the EC.
Miss you all and best wished to those still persevering!!!

Looks like SOS/SB, Pelican, Riverslayer, and Whale are honkered down for the night. Does that mean we can unglue ourselves from the screen? .... at least for a few hours until MM or SF potentially start up again in the overnight hours.
Pelican looks like he found a nice spot with a pagoda and probably a picnic table - maybe even a grill; SOS/SB look like they've made their way into a jungle for good protection. Although with the size of their boat tied I sure hope there's no vessel traffic zipping through that narrow area. Sleep well, guys!

Being in an Adventure - 2 EC's and 1 NCC, I become so focused on the immediate thrill, pain, cold, hallucinations, and fear that I never get to see the big picture of the race. Watching this year's event has been educational in a different way. I get to see and learn how others handle problems. It has been great!

Thought I'd bump this thread up so all of us watching can chime in again.

I was out this evening and returned about 10 p.m. First task was to turn on the computer and check the UF progress. I looks like everyone is doing fine and they are all resting for the night. I'm looking forward to Sharkchow's morning insights tomorrow when they all get moving.

It's 12:21 EST now. Some may be sleeping, but Mosquito Magnet was progressing at 2.82 knots at midnight. Wayne might give the Energizer Bunny a run for the money.

Oh gosh sailorbob you are correct. He seems to have stopped for about 40 minutes around the time I checked but then took off again. I hope he has well lighted tail lights so vehicles can see him on that road!
