Does anyone have an empty trailer going from DeSoto to Key Largo that I could strap my TI trailer to?

Bumping this up to the top. It seems the hardest part of the EC may be getting my trailer to Key Largo.

How big is the trailer & how much does it weigh?
(Are you still worrking weekdays in Tallahassee; we have to get together if you are.)

If it helps, it went down to KL on my trailer last year.

It's about 4' wide and about 14' long. It's aluminum and doesn't weigh much. Two people can pick it up.
Lugnut, I'm still working for Leon Schools but not there full time, I do a lot of work from home now.

Let me check with our proposed driver. We parked at Deke's last year, but don't have any definite arrangements this year. My small, old pickup tow vehicle is underpowered, but should be able to handle you trailer which whould be lighter than my boat! We'll of course be at the beach on Friday and at the Desoto campground that night, whichever works best.

Oh, yeah, if you're in town Friday, HavanaMana and I usually have lunch at Cabo's at 11:30.

Lugnut, it would be great if you can haul the trailer, just let me know.

Our TI trailer will be going down empty on Wednessday. GMG's father will be driving. We could strap it to that.

Below are my travel options, let me know if they can accommodate your need:
- If I am successful in finding someone to drive my truck/trailer back to my home in Miami following the start of the race, I will get my wife to drive the trailers down to Key Largo on the evening of my arrival. If for some reason my boat has an issue and I don’t make it the entire trip, I would leave your trailer in Miami and pick up my boat (wherever it might be). I could then deliver your trailer to Key Largo.
- If I don’t find someone to drive my truck and trailer back to Miami, I will get a ride to Miami after the race, likely spend the night at home and then rent a car and drive back to Ft Desoto. I could then drive both our trailers to Key Largo. The only thing we would need to think about is what happens if my boat has an issue before Flamingo and what would I do with your trailer if this happens.
Clear as mud? Let me know if I can help!

ZerotheHero, thanks, but I won't get to DeSoto until Thursday afternoon. HalfBaked, thanks, hopefully Lugnut will be able to haul my trailer but I'll keep your offer in mind.

Sundance: If your trailer fits on mine, we're good to go.

ZerotheHero,
Will you be coming back near Ft. DeSoto after the race?

Sundance, we have family coming. The trailer is going south Wednessday the 8th. That is during the event. Wisenber, no. We will be heading directly back to VT.
