It is working fine for me!
Its not working for me , all I see is the map no competitors.

When "Show Tracks and All Waypoints" is selected in the Tracking Map display for any specified challenger, multiple clickable closely spaced Spot tracking waypoints are shown from the start up until Tuesday morning. After that the waypoints dissapear, only a solid track line is displayed up to current position with no waypoints of any kind displayed, no "OK" waypoints and no current waypoint.
The "Show Tracks, OK, Help and Currrent Waypoints Only" option shows only "OK button pushed" waypoints, on a solid track line, with no tracking waypoints, nor the current waypoint.
The "Show Only Current Waypoints" option displays only the most recent current waypoint without track line or points, as expected.
Does anyone else show this anomaly?
It's working good now.
A few hours ago, we couldn't get it.
It appears some of the WiFi and even credit card readers were/are out here in Key Largo

Yes yknpdlr except the date and time the individual trackpoints stop is different for each competitor. I am at Key Largo and on verizon broadband. No connection issues. SOS in the UF never showed any individual trackpoints. I suspect it is a reset issue on the individual spot devices.
Yes, I am not seeing the tracking points anymore, just the line. I really liked the tracking points. It allowed you to see how long layovers were, it was easier to compare two racers progress by looking at comparable times, etc. My guess is that turning that off was a concession made to speed up response time by Chief or someone. Especially if they are having slower internet at the checkpoints, eliminating all that data being downloaded probably speeds things up considerably for them.
Solar flare activity?
For UF do you have UF selected for challenge not EC? That seemed to work for me.
Yes, that didn't seem to make a difference.
For example, if I select UF2012, All Classes, MosquitoMagnet, show tracks and all waypoints, it showed all of the waypoints with a 10 minute update up until 8:35am on 3/6. Since then there are only the tracks with no waypoints. The waypoints were interesting as you could peice together what was happening by holding your curser over the waypoint and it would show you the time/date/speed, etc.
Like I said, for me on broadband, it was great info. If the people running the show are limited to slower speeds due to locations they are in, it probably runs much faster without all that waypoint data.
I still can only see the map and no competitors or check points. So i went back to my older computer and it works fine. Not sure what is going on .

Same thing with us - only it's the newer computer that gets the icons and the older one that won't. Go figure??
Thanks Sherri for the shared page info!

It's hard to imagine that it is a local computer problem, because I can display and click to view time/location details on any of the hundreds of track waypoint icons leading up to Tuesday morning, but on the very same display window after that time there is nothing but a solid yellow line up to the current time.
The entire solid line route shows up to current time, but the trackpoint icons simply end on Tuesday morning. It doesn't matter if I am in EC or UF or which paddler I focus on. I have tried it on three different computers and with different internet servers, all with the same result.
It had been working fine for me, but then I started having a problem where just the map showed.
I am using IE 9 and clicking on the compatibility view icon fixed it for me.
It's a little icon on the right side of the URL address bar that looks like a piece of torn paper.
I'm using Firefox 10.0.2 for Ubuntu Linux; no problems.
Mystery solved. Chief says the software will only get the first 250 checkpoints for each racer. Sometimes the listed and last checkpoint may be #253 or 254 due to spot missing a few waypoints along a lengthy track. Chief says he will address this soon but it can't be done right now during the event.
Second problem....right now only empty files are being received from spot. The watertribe site is updating but no individual data is current. It has been that way for over an hour. This is a Spot issue possibly their computer or solar activity.
Thanks SoreShoulders,
That fixed it for me also. Not sure what changed but its working now.

Excellent, thanks for the clarification.
Item 1 was more of an observation than a real problem.
Item 2, however, is a real problem! I am in Michigan, don't know any of you (yet), and somehow got addicted to watching this race. Something tells me that trying it is in my future. I may come down and just try the last leg as a first test on my own. until, I need my next fix - which ironically can be had with an updated fix on the competitors!
Only seeing the map with no icons or tracks?
It seems that there could be information overload on some of your browsers. This happened to me too. Basically I had to use the browser tools/internet options/ to clear the cookies and temporary internet files. As soon as I did that the icons and tracks started showing up again.
Without the updates from SPOT, could all the local on-site folks provide any play by play info as you see people approaching the finish in Key Largo, or phone reports from the competitors?
Sure, if possible. This could be a problem ....http://www.zdnet.com/photos/another-solar-storm-should-hit-earth-sunday/6340660
I just had my tracker go blank again so clearing out temp files did not do the trick. There are some internet savvy guys here and we are looking into the issues. The problem does not appear to be on the WaterTribe site but instead is on the internet side of the mapper. At the same time we are not getting all the data from SPOT. Is it solar storm related? Don't know. Other internet activity seems to be OK.
What about someone simply listing who has finished? And, perhaps, who is still out there?
Keith
I have Whale's SPOT page and it is updating ok. Shows he just finished about 5 minutes ago.
Macatawa is thru Dump Keys and heading towards Big Key.
Alright Ben and Emily your almost there!
Salty Frog, Stripbuilder, Whale, Ghostyaker, Busted Rudder, Jungle Jim are all in here at Key Largo.
Does anyone know where is AlexO? He should be coming in to KL sooner than later.
The water tribe site is now updating from Spot. Older locations for those already finished still show the 2 p.m. locations but AlexO, Macatawa, Paddlemaker are showing 7:50 or so updates. AlexO is about 10 miles away from Key Largo doing 2.6.
It turns out we are being throttled by Bing (Microsoft) and SPOT due to heavy bandwidth loads. I am trying to get it lifted but my internet access and customer service issues are making progress slow. Assume for now that the mapper is down.
We will keep updating as people arrive.
