Many thanks for the Happy Birthdays. I had a great day even though turning 27 isn't for wimps.
I didn't have a lot of guests at my party, but I understand that paddling 300 miles in Florida in August is a bit much. Next year I might cut it back to only 200.
I'll see some of you in Minnesota soon and some more in North Carolina at the end of October. March will be interesting. You all need to go out there and catch Covid so WaterTribe has herd immunity - Ha!
For you folks that have been clamoring for inReach, I have been working on it and actually making progress. I bought an SE+ to use for testing. Honestly, so far I much prefer the SPOT for tracking. Sending OK messages while in tracking mode is much easier. But I do see the benefit of have a GPS map capability while tracking so it's all good.
If anyone knows how to get more than the most recent tracking point in the shared KML/XML from inReach, please let me know. It's real easy to miss a tracking point or OK message with the inReach system. SPOT is much better because you can get up to 50 of the last tracking points. Maybe I'm missing something so bring me up to speed if you can.
