Well, $3900 is a high asking price you might say, but new they are still over $5k. Worth every penny.
If you are interested in a high volume Sea Wind, you might also consider a Superior Expedition, which are around $3500 new.
Me and a buddy bought older Sea Winds, #50 and #55 respectively, for about half of MSRP new. But you probably won't find one for that little. The OP sold #55 by the way...
The value of my Sea Wind, to me and IF I was to ever sell it, went up by about $2k. Somewhere on the east side of Whitewater Bay in high winds and high seas! Love the boat!
A Mad River Monarch is a similar design, but the Sea Wind has improvements over it in some visually subtle, but very important hull characteristics in terms of seaworthiness. The bow is fuller and has a bit more flare, making for a higher and drier ride.
Everybody should own a Sea Wind! (and a Loon, and a Monach, and a Clipper Sea 1, and a Superior Expedition. And a Dreamcatcher and a Kruger Cruiser....)
