   Even if we figure out how to put YouTube videos and pictures into the forum, I recommend something else.

   The first option is to get a WaterTribe blog going. Then post videos, pictures, long posts, etc. in that blog. If you already have a blog setup, consider importing it to a WaterTribe blog and see how it goes. If you decide that the import is too difficult or you don't like it, just let me know and I can dump the WaterTribe version.

   Once you have a blog running, you can post short excerpts to the forum with a link to your blog.

   If you want to post a YouTube video or picture without using a blog, just post the link in the forum.

   There is an import tool in the admin section of the new WaterTribe blog. If you want to try it, let me know and I will setup your blog. Just keep the old one running until you are sure that an import worked.

   If it turns out not to work correctly, Please let us know.

   I already setup a WaterTribe blog for you. The import tool is in the admin section under Tools. Give it a try and see how it works. If it doesn't work let me know and I can take it down.

   When I go to the Tools : Import, here is the message I get:

    

   If you have posts or comments in another system, WordPress can import those into this site. To get started, choose a system to import from below:

   No importers are available.

    

   I'll ty to put in an item with copy and paste.

   fyi... I see the same thing Ridgerunner sees...

   I've noticed that Wordpress has software I can download to my computer... would that allow me to work on my blog offline then upload, or is it only admin tools for maintaining the main site?

   It turns out I have to install the importers from the main site.

   First you have to export your site to an XML file. Then the XML file is uploaded to your new site. Export/Import from an existing site is supported, but I want to try it with just one first. Send me an email if you want to be test subject.

   Another thing too. If your existing site is using a theme other than Twenty Eleven and you want to keep that theme, I need to know the exact theme name. And make sure that your existing blog is using the latest version of WordPress.

    Guys probably all of us are using Facebook. Why don't we create a private group and invite us to join. FB gives us all the tools we need to upload pictures or videos. Just a suggestion.
