Right now the forum doesnt like images over about 400 - 420 pixel width. I am still working on this.
Image resizing now working

Chief and Tom, I think that I just figured out how to post pictures, the one I tried before was my bad so no trouble here as long as it post as it appears that it will when I click! Here goes.
Looks Good!
Cool. How did you get the emoticons work!

Looks like the resizing plugin can handle some but not all pictures.......
I'm not doing something right . . . I emailed Ben for the benefit of his good assistance. I'll try again tomorrow.
BlackSun
I resized the first two here and it didn't work. I resized the other one off site.
WTF is that--->
lol, thats the default smiles/emoticons that come with the plugin. Lets get past the holiday and I will keep tweaking things.

Where did you get this one?
It called "New Russian", named after a new generation of businessmen. First the thing shows how important it is, by wiggling fingers, then it talks on two cell phones, one it right hand and another in left. You know, like Chief
Tom, somehow I couln't escape the quatation marks, while posting my reply upstream.
Also I can not copy the text I just posted. I mean if I highlighted it I still can not copy it by clicking right botton on the mouse. I do it often to check the spelling in MC word. You now, life is difficult for me.
And, by the way, thank you guys!
Hi CR, I did a little testing and it looks like there are some browser restrictions. When I right click I get a menue with cut/copy/paste but when I click on one I get a message saying:
Your browser security settings don't permit the editor to automatically execute cutting operations. Please use the keyboard for that (Ctrl/Cmd+X).
CTRL-C for copy, CTRL-X for cut, and CTRL-V for paste work fine. Please give it a try and let me know if it works for you. If it doesn't let me know what operating system and browser you are using.
MicroTom, I will try to reproduce the situation when I get back on my boat to my window's Laptop in few days. Anyway, now I'm posting using iPhone and I can not get the "quote" feature working. I hit "quote" button and I get the editor box without the text I tried to quote. Anyway, I glad I can post something using iPhone :) thanks for all work again.
MicroTom, same thing with "edit" feature and my phone. I hit edit and I get an empty box without the text I was going to edit.
Will we ever be able to upload images directly into post instead of just linking it?
Can I post a picture that does not live in cyberspace, but is stored on my hardrive?
DENIED!
Scareman
pic test ..... image is 940 wide ....... (from the banner in my blog). saw some other (too) big pics posted and wanted to see if the image size noted was really a restriction. I don't normally post pics this large btw. All my image files reside on my website and not an online photo host. I'll have to change that someday to aid in trip reports on the fly.

Scareman,
Yes you have to have your own image hosting solution on the web. That is the most common way to post pictures on an Internet forum. Most people use photobucket.com.
This forum supports two different image tags. I find the second one to be the easiest to use becaue photobucket has the images tags prepared for you. Below are code examples.

The link on the bottom and circled in red is correctly formatted for this forum.

Features are limitted on Apple devices. I am sure you already know that Apple doesn't always support the same functionality as the rest of the world. The good news is you have a fasionable phone....
BTW, I have one too. Also an iPad and a MAC. There are times where I want to throw them in the garbage because of stuff like this.
CR, I still am not sure I understand the problem escaping quotation marks.
Are you having issues getting out of this box?

Now linking from a web page...
This is posted using the picture tool on the menubar, which appears as a box with an X, so I added the on the uRL tab and still see box until posting .. Maybe it is there.
" />
Now I will go to the link tab and try the address..
No luck - says I needed URL info.
Now again a cut and paste of the larger image.
MicroTom, it looks like you answered while I was testing.
Let me try again using the img format in the URL that you noted above in the red oval.

But that appears a box with an X as I pasted the IMG format into the URL
Another try pasting the IMG data here in the body because this format does not appear to work in the Picture Toolbar options.

Here I will just paste the image:
