Talking About Adventure In Small Boats
12:00 AM Fri. Just spoke to Pelican via cell and text (bad connection). He has returned to CP#2 after leaving this AM. He was fighting winds to Flamingo. Then he realized the hull was partially submerged, so headed to the nearest beach & pumped out water Seems extra weight is the problem along with rough seas. He's staying there for the PM and will contact Chief in AM about his plan. I'm sure anyone can guess what my vote ( if I get one) might be!

Unfortunately, my hotel room had been reserved by another party, so there was no place for me to stay at CP2 after we closed it, or I would be there to see what help Pelican might need. I'm currently in Tampa, but if assistance is needed and no0 one can get to him, let me know... we are leaving this evening for the awards ceremony and can divert to Choko if needed: PaddleDancer can get ahold of me by email, text, or phone.
