Can you comment on what size a paddler would be optimal for your boat? I'm a big guy, 6'2" and let's just say north of 220#. I've been wanting a kayak to mess around with for a while and am not really sure where to start.

Sounds like a good boat for you. This is a big boat with lots of room for the paddler and gear. This was my first boat and I bought it to do the EC. It has a rudder but tracks very well when loaded. Check it out on line and read the reviews.
