There are no new rules. I am going to change the inspection procedures and toughen them up. But what gets inspected hasn't changed one iota.
You do not have to take the WaterTribe Survivial course in September. However, if you want to practice the skills that distinquish an expert from the rest, then take the course. It is completely optional. If you don't want to take the course, don't. It isn't required, but it does help you meet the requirements by practicing expert skills. I really don't get the controversy on this.
You still need to be an expert to enter a WaterTribe Challenge. We will ask some tough questions during the inspection process. We will be a bit less flexible when it comes to passing the inspection.
Make sure you have all the stuff.
Make sure you actually read and understand the Warning.
Make sure you read and understand the Release.
Make sure you read and understand the Float Plan.
Make sure you have the Required Equipment.
Make sure you understand that these are Expedition-Style Adventure Races. Pack accordingly and have the skills necessary.
Make sure your read and understand and have all the skills implied in the Entrance Requirements
BUT NO RULES HAVE CHANGED.
Stop reading clueless forums that are trying to stir the pot. If you take part in those forums you are part of the problem.
