This one looks like it JUST MIGHT hold all the stuff we want it to... except for the espresso maker.

Yes, I couldn't stop drooling over this when I saw it in their new catalog that came in the mail a few weeks ago.
Here is a current thread where several WaterTribers confess to buying this new NRS cVEST.

Looks nice. I bought their larger version with 22 pounds floatation (thus "permission" to carry all sorts of stuff in the pockets) and a quick-release waist belt strong enough to use as a tether point, but intuition tells me it may not be too paddler-friendly for athletic full-time paddlers. I single-paddled with it on, loosened, in the EC2011 for several hours, no problems, but I was going slowly as I am a sailor. I am wondering about this one too -- aren't paddling PFDs suppsoed to be cut less full about the chest or upper body ingeneral? -- Wade

I jut finished a 120 nm trip wearing my new cVest aboard my Core Sound. Overall, I give it two thumbs up. The best feature is the VHF pocket.
While I haven't tried it in a kayak yet, as an old-time whitewater kayaker I can still tell this would be a good paddling vest. Lots of freedom for arm movement and would not hinder eskimo rolling in any way.

If someone paddles in it for a significant time please post your experience. I like the looks of it as well.

I wore my new cVest for the South Dakota Kayak Challenge on Saturday - a 75 mile run down the Missouri river.
The fit and function of it were good, and I didn't experience and chafing. JC
