OK, I have several pictures showing the boat on the beach and departing the beach. None of them are all that great, but they are something. None show the sailors well, if at all.
So, if you want the boat, I can help.
In case anyone wants them, I put all 109 of the pictures I took here.
That is a 387 MB zip file, so it may take a while to download. Permission is hereby granted for anyone to use all of them however you see fit.

I have some video of the sailboats as I crossed Tampa Bay, but I am not sure who was tacking SW from the Skyway bridge towards Anna Maria.
Also, for the article, why was DragonSlayer asking me how I cleared the bridges in my kayak. I got a kick out of him hailing me on the VHF as I paddled up to Bradenton.
