Training in earnest now for this NCC and hoping my new board will make it in time. Recent practice has been concentration on best distribution of body and gear weight for paddling mode, still haven't quite figured out (or satisfied with) best configuration.. New board has 16 more liters of volume and slightly different rocker profile and pin tail, so going to have to do testing all over if it does arrive in time. Since board hulls are designed to plane, that seems to create a wall for improving paddling speed. One difference this time, is want to approach the paddling portion like Justsurf did, and keep my sailed rigged and layed across the stern during paddling...working on light weight system for keeping the rig from tilting and dragging on the surface...
From Roster still looks like we are still small group. Be nice to read about what others are doing, planning & scheming, or tales and legends of the area and past adventures... May also help to entice more to join us...
Anyone ever been successful in trolling a lure at the end of the day's run, to coincide your appetite with a fresh fire broiled fish instead of an Mre before bed? I think this is going to me one of my priority goals... will though keep an eye out for Triman sneaking by....
