Just to clarify, is it mandatory we hold position or can we continue down the calm waters of the intercoAstal.

I don't believe the USCG has the authority to stop the fleet. They can stop individual voyages that are manifestly unsafe. This is overreaching.
The race organizers can comply with a request to suspend and that's a different thing, but a "mandatory" stop for the fleet would need authority and they don't have it.

So if we choose to continue on our own outside of the "regatta", does this violate the USCG orders?

COAST GUARD RELEASE SAYS IT WILL BE TERMINATED AT CHECK POINT ONE.
