Some of you may remember Lonegull (Kevin Sauvage) who finished the 2011 EC with me. He has just departed on a long planned voyage from New York to Spain in a Cal 20
He is equipped with a Spot device (thanks Chief for introducing us to that technology) and will update his shore contact via satellite phone.
I thought that some of the kindred spirits might be interested in following his progress.

Lonegull's ETA for getting back home is Sunday. It has been fun following his progress and he has had quite an adventure so far. For those not following along he ran in Debby, ran out of time and changed his float plan. Now on his way back, as of 7-2 he had been out 16 days and 1300 miles. Hopefully when he is home we can get a report. (after he dries out)

Kevin left much later than he had hoped to leave, due mainly to the amount of last minute work he had to do on the boat (sound familiar?). I wouldn't be surprised if he goes again next year. The boat will be ready, and I imagine the temptation will be more than he will be able to resist.
