I did look at the bootlegger and the great Auk hc , the Barracuda by John Winters and the north wind . I went so far as to buy north wood plans . But decided to use the north wood only as a bace line . The north wood is said to be very very close to the Sea Wind from the shear down . So I think this gave me a good drag and stability curve to start with . And with out straying to far from that , this is what I came up with. A little longer with finer ends a touch more rocker , a little less drag and stability . I will most likely be placing the seat lower than some . I sit up taller in the saddle then most people any way . If I can keep my butt of the deck 3" or 4" , that would make me a happy camper
The plan is to make a skirt with a hoop in it , so I can use a sea kayak skirt when needed and White water knee straps for the the fun days !!
I am looking forward to dry hands dry a butt and a place fore my size 14 feet with shoes , rather than moccasins
If any Kruger drivers out there have any suggestions I would love to here from them .
