Man, this is hard to do..... But learning to adapt and adjust and be a little less monocular is a probably a good thing.
I am going to have to withdraw from EC2015. I am planning to still be there and follow along and try to help out. I woke up on 12/23 with a sciatica type pain in calf. Atraumatic. Did not get better with rest or Physical therapy. I have no history of back troubles but it seems like a L5 S1 disc issue. MRI negative. Long story, somewhat less long, after PT, numerous evals ultimately found to have some demylinating Peroneal nerve issue with a baseline mild neuropathy. Workup lead to a diagnosis of B12 deficiency/Pernicious anemia. Good news is as for causes of neuropathy, that is a good one. I plan on total recovery after a couple months and lifelong b12 monthly injections. But my ability to train has been nilch since 12/23 and the likelyhood of being up to snuff by the first week of March is not high enough for me to warrant worrying about it. Time for me to let it go and move on.
So I will be a lubber this EC but I wish you all the best. Not doing it is already heartbreaking. I know I will be definitely crazed as I follow you on down the coast. Maybe Kiwibird will carry me a Flamingo burger across the bay.. Nah, won't be the same.
Sad but reconciled,
