Stuff Happens! OK, here is the plan.
First, it is very likely that our insurance is going to be cancelled for these events. I should find out today or tomorrow at the latest. If that happens, both events will be cancelled.
Even if the insurance isn't cancelled there is a high probability that I will cancel the BBC. It would be stupid of me to start a challenge if the weather predictions continue as they have for the last few days. I will make a final decision on the BBC on or before Wednesday morning about this time.
If the insurance isn't cancelled I will hold off making a decision on the NCC for another few days. There is still a small probability that Matthew will stall out or radically change course. You never know. But don't bet on it.
So what happens if one or both events are cancelled?
-
If the BBC is cancelled and the NCC is not cancelled, the BBC folks can transfer into the NCC and/or take one of the following options. If you do transfer into the NCC, half your entrance fee would be used as listed below.
-
If your event is cancelled, you can elect to transfer 100% of your entry fee into the EC2017 or UM2017. Just send me an email and I will get it done.
-
If your event is cancelled, you will also have the option of getting an 80% cash refund. But that cash won't be going out until January. Sorry, that is the best I can do. Money has already been spent and the coffers are empty.
That's it. I will let you know about the insurance as soon as I know.
