Hobie Getaway "MissMarie" and trailer for sale

2011 Hobie Getaway (Miss Marie) and trailer for sale. Coastie and Clamcounter will be sailing a Nacra 580 this year in EC2022, so it is time to sale our Hobie. I thought I would put it out to our Watertribe friends first. It is in great shape and has sailed to Key Largo 8 times. Bench seats. Brand new jib sail. New forestay assembly. New forestay, new shrouds, and new bridle wires. Spinaker is only a year old. Trailer has two lockable sail boxes. Basically, the boat was all set for this year's EC.

Sounds like we could organise a boat for sale section on the beach this year.

Miss Marie (Hobie Getaway) has retired from Everglades Challenge adventures. She has moved to Cape Canaveral, FL with her new owner. I'll miss her, but she now gets to live out her life doing "easy" sailing on the east coast of FL or perhaps Michigan. Fred, the Pink Flamingo, has successfully transferred to Abacus (Nacra 580) and will seek to reach Miss Marie's eight EC finishes.

Second best boat owner's day today! Hobie cats do indeed retain great value!

Hopefully you were honest and told the new owner what you put it through. The hobie products seem to be the best stock product for buying off the shelf and completing the challenge. Most other boats need a lot off mods for reinforcements to actually make it to the finish in one piece. DWM

I agree that the Hobie Getaway is an excellent choice for the EC but I think most beach cats are up to the job with the main issue of changing the halyard to accommodate slab reefing. This mod is also required on the Getaway. My ~40 year old Dart is mostly stock and has completed the challenge twice.
