As an old guy I like practice naps on some slow trips. I hate to bring a full blown swinger on a tent trip so tried a Grand Trunk$20.00 one to play with.
1st thing I did was get rid of all the hanging stuff (not much here but steel S hooks.) and replaced it with 7/64 Amsteel line. I Larks headed very long lines to the hamock and braided the other ends in whoopie sling configureation.
For my tree ends I use 1 in. poly straps and made togglels out of a piece of a broke tent pole. All done complete package including stuff sack is 14.7 ounces and small. I am 6.1 and 235lbs. Not for primary sleeping just something for laying around on a trip.
