2017 Everglades Challenge Starters/Finishers by Class:

Class 1 - 28/20
Class 2 - 12/8
Class 3 - 3/2
Class 4 - 14/8
Class 5 - 6/5
Class 6 - 1/1
Hobie AI - 3/2
Hobie TI - 10/7

TOTALS - 77/53

99 - total boats on the beach on Saturday, March 4th
22 - number boats that did not start at or after the official start time on Sunday, March 5th

Amber and I tacked 551 times this year. That is not counting our Saturday tacks (not many). Milage including that first Saturday was 314.32. Our longest stretch in the peddles was 7 1/2 hours straight. Our longest stretch moving was @24 hours.

You two are awsome sailing that let's say "moist" vessel and still on speaking terms in the end. Fantastic job! DWM

ZTH, glad I had a chance to run into you and Amber at Flamingo. That's a lot of peddling and a lot of tacking.

Our numbers look like; 226 nm, about 6' of glide per stroke, comes to about 228,000 forward strokes, + or - a thousand.
