I mean, really the team name says it all!! The Flock decided on Friday that they would go with Plan B. The slight issue of Don Pedro park's launching access proved to be just a slight speed bump and only slowed them down temporarily. After Loon found a water access point, they were able to get underway around 10:30am. The boys' (Eagle & Swift) boat had an issue with the aka/ama. They were able to get that fixed and were heading South again.
The storm caught up with them and they rode it out in a condo...I'm not sure what the exact story with that is, we are chalking it up to Pelican's amazing "bad luck", LOL!
After stopping last night, they (again) lucked out with a warm and dry place to stay which also included good meals!!
The birds flew out after 8am this morning in great spirits and are still having fun! They found a spot on Goodland around 10pm this evening. Eagle called and we had a wonderful 57 second conversation. He's having fun and looking forward to a strong finish!
