Had a great time on this trip. We decided to play it a little safe on the Egmont Key excursion. We made the trip out but turned around fairly quickly to avoid any bad weather that might show up in the afternoon. It was a great sail in the Kruger Cruiser. On the way back my son created a Bear Grylls impression that was hilarious. We laughed so hard that his teeth hurt from the strain on his braces.

Bugs were surprisingly light considering how overgrown the island was. The vegitation came right up to the water line. There was a mild mount of no-see-ums but nothing too bad. A little bug spray and the wind kept it pleasant. I spent most of the time at camp was spent under Toby's shade/rain fly. It was amazing to see it work by moving a couple poles around. It even with stood the heaviest of the rains. During that time I learned quite a few bits of distance paddling and Kruger Canoe advice.

The rains did come in HARD in the evening. Me and the kids made the best of it in the tent. Gotta say they have great attitudes. Not once did they complain or ask to go home. I was very impressed. I also have to say that this "meet up" was a perfect way to introduce WaterTribe to newbies of all ages. I hope to see more of these types of get togethers in the future.

The highlight was Ian Lineberger speaking to the group. I didn't actually know who he was prior to this event. But once he introduced himself I was all ears. Ian was a lot of fun out on the water too. His enthusiasm was infectious. Even my kids who usually have their eyes roll back in their head when I say anything about sailing were extremely impressed. They now want to watch the Olympics and see how our sailing team does this year.

Thank you to everyone who came. Especially Chief, Whitecaps, & Danito. Great converstaions, great pics, great sailing.
Here is Toby getting ready to launch his absolutely beautiful Kruger Dreamcatcher.

I also stopped by Tackle Shack on the way home and said thank you for getting Ian to come out and spend the day with us. I am very appreciative of what they did for us! If you guys read this thread. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!!!
