Tribe,

Last year, I took the year off (after the 1200 mile UFC in 2020 during the early days of the Pandemic - I owed it to the family) and offered Ferry and Shuttle Services.

I am racing this year, but my Scout Troop - which can haul boat trailers and up to 8 paddle craft is pitching in to help out again.

The fees are a donation to the Scout Troop. We will ferry crew and boats back on Sunday morning.

We are located in Bonita Springs (Just north of Wiggins Pass) so picks ups from CP1 to CP2 are within two hours.

Last year CP2 had challenges and I shuttled a few crews back to their vechiles. That worked well for everyone.

Colorado aka Andrew Hustruild (2X finished (Tandem Kayak and TI) ) will be the Troop's logistical officer to help plan any recovery missions.

Our scout leaders have Trucks for shuttleing crew, gear, vessels and hauling trailers as needed.

Since the name of this game is reserving a space so folks are not disappointed.

Hey Cat5, when would you want the the trailer taken to key largo?

One idea, is we pick it up from Ft Desoto on the 5th, take it half way to Bonita during the week, and then as the week wraps up we could bring it the final leg to Key Largo.

Does this sound workable or do you have another need?

That works for me. As long as it's at key Largo for the closing ceremonies, I'm good

Checking to see if the troop would be interested in taking my truck and empty trailer to Checkpoint 1 after the start. That would be worth a generous donation.

Hey folks I have been distracted with training and work, will be firming up and finalizing Plan A and Plan B ferry plans tomorrow.

Our logistics includes shuttling drivers to and from as well, so this is last call for any requests.

Any chance of fitting a TI on the trailer? It would probably take up two spots due to the amas which I would be willing to pay for.

Chief, if the ferry is full, I believe I will have room on top of my empty truck rack for a TI. That's how I transported mine home last year. I will be returning on Sunday and I could deliver it either Sunday night or Monday.

Good News!

Chief and AguaBoggie, we will have a 3 tiered canoe trailer at Key Largo on Saturday. We will load up after the feast, and haul you and your TI's back to Fort Desoto, Saturday afternoon.

The Main TI hulls will be strapped to the bottom rung.

The Amas will be stored on the 2nd tier.

The third tier will be empty - unless we have 1 or 2 kayakers you want a ride and a kayak towed back to Ft Desoto.

SaltyLeprechaun (aka Erik Dwyer - Hobie 16 Driver, EC 2019) (and is now building his own custom tri) is the ferry boss for the race start. If you need any assistance at start, cp1 cp2 or points in between you can reach out to Erik for assistance.

If you need a shuttle of a trailer or a crew member picked up, reach out to Erik. He will be on the beach on Friday and there for the start Saturday, I will have cards with his contact info, If Erik okays it I will post his phone number here.

Here are the final chess moves .

Start

Ridgerunner truck and trailer will be driven and left at CP1 - keys and protocols to be worked out Friday afternnon.

Clewless's Truck and Cat5's tailer will be hitched together and driven to Bonita Springs on Saturday.

Race end:

Clewless's Truck and Cat5's tailer will be driven from Bonita to Key Largo on Saturday Morning.

AquaBoggie and Chiefs TIs will be mounted on Canoe Trailer tier 1 and teir 2 racks after the Saturday Feast, MisterC's Pace18 will take the top bunk on tier 3.

AquaBoggie will get a ride to Ft Desoto. MisterC will get a ride home to Bonita.

Its a PLAN.

Plan B starts are also covered, but lets not get into them here.
