    EC 2022 - Day 1 on the outside working our way south; wind is lightening up. Choppy and a bit bounce. Wind almost on the nose.

    Update from management:

    -Garfish has dropped out due to boat damage that isn’t easily repairable.
    -TomBlueWater sprained his wrist and it’s become too painful to manage the boat safely. He has dropped out.

    Race update for MolaMola…
    Just heard from Brooke who is just approaching the second Sarasota bridge. Other than the frustration is mostly headwinds, she’s in good spirits and feeling good. Stopped for a bite to eat then pushing on for a late arrival at CP1.
    I was planning on posting a picture of her from one of the bridges, but had to give up after sitting in traffic so long that we totally missed her. So it’s official… it is actually faster to paddle from St Pete to Sarasota than it is to drive
