Microtom update:
Got what appears to be food poisoning yesterday from the Daytona 500. Spent Monday puking my guts out. Feeling better today but no where near 100%. Hope for it to be fully cleared soon.
PLBs from from Outdoor Equipment Rentals arrived yesterday.
Found a leak in my drysuit after a pool test this weekend. Have it located and will patch today.

Doing well. Had a scare near wipeout in 30kn gust. Lots water in the boat but bailed out successfully. Lost DonKeyHoTeys spot. Running on MicroToms spot

Team is in good spirits. About 5nm away from CP1. Making 5kn. Plan is to do a complete rudder rebuild involving glass, grinders and a lot of mojo.

Pondering the rudder fix

The guys have stopped for the night near northern tip of Estero Island. Repaired rudder held up well in rough and gusty, over 20kn conditions. They scrounged and installed a stock non-kickup Lightning rudder. The plan is to get warmed up, have some food, sleep and head out early am.

The Hare has just entered Indian Key Pass. Tide is falling. They are in good company with 7 or 8 WaterTribe nearby.

Have not heard from the guys since yesterday evening. They are in no cell land. Tracker has shown them sailing all night long, or was that rowing? A Spot OK confirmed that they got to Flamingo around 2:30 today and quickly set back out. They are currently half way between Flamingo and the finish on what appears to be a broad reach in good weather, at least according to Sailflow.

Huge congrats on a job well done. Especially for not giving up when the boat tried to. Spot shows a finish time of 5:23am.
