As far as my rigging projects go here are some pictures of my Epic 18x Sport with what I call an expedition sail rigging install.

I have only had this boat for 8 months, but its now for sale. I will deliver it to Key Largo where you are welcome to take delivery. If it is not sold by then, you can inspect it at Fort Desoto or Key Largo, or anyplace in between.
Properly rigged, the 18x sails like a dream.

The list price on the boat is $3,395 and I would charge $300 for the rigging job. You can have the stock seat also.
You can have it for $2,600 in Key Largo. If you want a sail rig, I will sell a used rig in good shape to go with it for $300.
You can email me at patrick at falcon sails dot com.
I am very impressed with the wheels. I wish I had time for another project.
Amongst all my lack of experience and lack of time, I have a different plan for portaging.
#1 try to avoid the portage by going around.
#2 if I do portage I am going to just carry my gear in some bags.
The Epic 18x Sport I am taking can easily be carried on my shoulder.
The boat is light to start with and even lighter after I replaced the stock seat with mini cel.
If I am lucky I will find some help. That is if its legal.
I am likely to regret this plan but it will save me critical time right now.
And also give me more room in my boat. I am going with the less is more approach.
I may win or loose on this plan.
