Glad to see you are back on the water! Nice boat, and video. After Pamlico Sound claimed your sailing yak, I knew you would be back! Hope to sail with you one of these days.

Very cool. I'd love to see your tent set-up in the daylight. Also, where did you find the umbrella dodger?

Very nice. Good inspiration to get busy on my own Core Sound 17.

Losing my sailing yak hit me hard! Feels good to be back on the water. Thanks Yakmandu.
I live on Sanibel.
The umbrealla dodger I used is a "SPORTBRELLA XL". It is our beach umbrealla which fit nicely, bungie cord around the mast, sides tied down. Held up fine in a 25mph gust during a rain storm. Used more as a sun screen.
For the tent, I cut 2 pieces of 1/2" plywood, one fitted on the centerboard trunk to the cockpit side and one spaning the cockpit for the foot of the tent to rest. MisterMoon, let me know if need more info.
Thanks Chief

Great video and awesome boat! I liked the slo mo over the side water action, and the part where you were getting ready to take a dump by the red light of the head lamp. Some parts of the adventure are seldom seen on video!

Swimboy, I spend every Sunday manning the JC's Daily Bread setup at the Sanibel Farmers' Market. Drop by for a free pastry and a chat when you can. Would love to meet you and to pick your brains about some rigging questions I have for my own boat and about your neck of the woods. I live on the East coast, at Jensen Beach, and only have sailed the Ft Desoto - Cape Haze portion of the chalenge thus far, by design, since it was the maiden voyage of my homebuilt craft at the time.
