The Ted Smallwood Store is having problems with a next door developer cutting off road access. The New York Times did a great article, July 6th, 2014, page 8, on the "Store". It seems that it could go under.
I have been inside, and it is one of the last historical monuments standing that dates back to 1906. If you have exited or entered through Rabbit Pass, you passed, on entering, the red building up on stilts as you turned left to go to our Check Point # 2. Most of us, paddling or sailing, would pass it and not know anything about it. But it is an important piece of history. I wish Ms. Smallwood McMillin luck in getting some road cut through to her property.
