I'm not going to make it this year and have a campsite available for sale. Two nights, Thursday, Friday. I had to sell my spot last year as well and the way it works is I have to email you the site receipt. $75.04.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn that Scareman references above last year and will again this year. There were a good number of WaterTribers there and if I remember correctly they opened the breakfast a little early for us.

I've got a spot for Wed, Thur & Fri night that I'll be on alone the first two until Ben gets
in Friday morning. Glad to share it with someone if its permitted.

That Hampton Inn is kinda far from the start, why did people pick there? There are a few hotels around Eckerd College and of course there is always St. Pete Beach or Pas-a-Grille. Premium rates on the beaches but not terrible.

As an Eckerd College alum I am looking at keeping my boat at their boat yard for a day or so, I might be able to see if it would be available for other tribers as well. the boat yard is on the east side of campus along the creek. There is security but when I was a student there stuff walked from time to time. I will ask my local friend and see if arrangements could be made. The waterfront is upper right pin, the start is the other pin.

how do I post a google earth image?

I still can't figure it out, what about pics off my hard drive, not a file sharing web page?
Posted 7 years ago # -
ZeroTheHero, you will have to get your picture on the web somewhere before you can have it show up in the forum comments. The watertribe forum here doesn't itself have image uploading capabilities (although the watertribe blogs do). You basically have to do three things to get an image in the forum comments.
1. upload it somewhere on the web
2. determine the URL to access the image
3. use the image tag (see image icon in the toolbar just above the forum edit window) to type in the image URL.
To upload your image, you could use any of the following:
- a picture sharing website like photobucket or imageshack (among others)
- a personal blog like the watertribe blogs
- your internet service provider account probably has some included web space you could upload pictures
- basically any place on the web ending up with a URL to address the image will do.

Passaic,
I'd love to share a site with you on Wed and Thurs if there's still an opening. I'll put my boat on the beach and tie the trailer to a tree outside the campground entrance. So I just need a spot for my RAV4. It doubles as a tent, too. Please let me know.

Mr. IsZatARock,
Hi this is paddlemaker and savannahdan, we have a site and you are welcome to stay with us like in years past. we have a site for Wednesday, thursday and Friday nights.

Hi Mr. Paddlemaker,
I would be glad to share a site with you and Dan! Those Friday night reservations go a little earlier every year. And my organization gets a little worse. I'm hoping to make camp earlier in the week and enjoy some relaxing time in warm weather before the race. If you decide to come in earlier, there'll be a spot for you.

Just wondering. Are you allowed to sleep in your boat on the beach Fri, night?
Posted 6 years ago # -
PassaicPaddler , if you still have room for an extra tent, I need a spot to pitch my small one-man tent. It would be much appreciated.

I've got a site for Thurs and Fri and have room for another tent or two if anyones needs a place to stay.
