What really caught my eye was what appears to be a FEKS on the boat...

Yes, the crew are pradominantly from Queensland Australia, the photo shows the forruner to the CZ100 water tribe spec sail. the other three singel kayaks yoused CZ80 sails, ther smaler size give you a brorder range of sailing conditions in such a chalanging strech of water , one minit it can be a millpond then the next you can be contending with 10m waves . Bass Strate is one of the main testing grounds for FEKS, if thay can perform on expoditions in the veried conditions in Bass Strait its a good starting point for my sail designs .
In resent years thy have been chosen by 29 bass Strate expoditioners , Stuwart Truman chose to youse them on his Around Australia trip, yousing the .8 mter for the botom half and the .7mtr for the top half wher he pridicted he wold have stronger winds .
Feks Also worked with the late Andrew Mac on a few diferant projects over the years as well.

I have to say I am enjoying the FEKS blog tremendously. Look them up under the Blogs List menu selection. I am even thinking about getting back into Class 1 the next time I get to do a WaterTribe Challenge.
