Another fun fact to keep you sleepless south of cp2. Nile crocs are now found in South Florida. It's great to be a wildlife biologist!

I thought I would look up some differences and the photo on their page is of a Nile Croc at, of all places, an alligator farm in St Augustine Florida. I guess that would explain, at least part of, how they found their way to Florida.

I live where only the weather is trying to kill me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nile Crocs are unlikely to come hunting me.
It sounds like the rest of the wildlife follows the same rules as for bears. Don't feed it. Don't tease it. Don't try to get close to it. Don't leave food around to tempt itPosted 1 year ago # -
The funny part of the article is where they say,
82 facilities are licensed to keep them in Florida
then a few sentences later,
"How these crocodiles got into Florida is a mystery"
