Time to take our boards for a walk in the woods with some paddling in between. Looking forward to achieving a lifelong fantasy of paddling the Boundary Waters.

Welcome to the MN Challenge! With the right setup and attitude, SUPs should work. You will definately stand out on a board in the Canoe Area Wilderness. Your challenge will be how to carry (portage) your board and your gear efficiently. People who kayak in the BWCA also face similiar questions, but some do it. Just no one has tried it all the way in a WaterTribe Challenge, with either a board or a kayak, yet...

Congratulations to Conchistador and Nippers, both SUPs who entered, made it to the start, and finished! So if a SUP can do it, wonder if any kayakers could....
And thanks to Chief for attending our Captain's Meeting even though the event was unofficial this year.

Have you lifted a SUP ?!? I'm gonna need a lighter kayak ... and a knee operation.
